Thank you to our CU 4 Reality Volunteers!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated volunteers who generously contributed their time and expertise to empower and educate the students at Bow Memorial School during the CU 4 Reality Fair in May 2024. This event provided students with a hands-on experience in financial literacy by allowing them to select careers, understand corresponding incomes, and navigate through budgeting worksheets that included considerations for student loans. Throughout the fair, students engaged with various volunteer-led tables where they made decisions on housing, transportation, insurance, food, entertainment, pets, clothing, savings, and more. The volunteers facilitated the process of tabulating the costs associated with these choices, enabling students to make informed financial decisions. Importantly, students had the opportunity to adjust their selections if they faced budget constraints at the end of the simulated month. This collaborative effort between volunteers and students fostered a practical learning environment that promoted financial awareness and decision-making skills.
