We have seen a surge in “Imposter Scams” where criminals pose as government officials to steal tens of thousands of dollars. These scammers use extreme pressure, threatening legal action or harm to family members to force immediate action.

Red Flags to Watch For:

Demands for Cash: Instructions to withdraw large sums of money immediately.
Enforced Secrecy: Being told NOT to tell family or bank staff about the transaction.
Fabricated Stories: Claims that your accounts are compromised or that you are part of a “secret investigation.”

If someone you don’t know threatens you, accuses you of wrongdoing, demands urgency, secrecy, and cash, it is a scam.

Important Note: No legitimate organization or government body will ever ask you to lie to your bank or use threats against your family to facilitate a transaction.

Tax Forms 2025

TAX INFO:
– Paper copies of 1099 INT and 1098 were mailed out in the month of January.
– You receive a 1099 INT if you accrued $10 in interest or more in 2025.
– You are not able to view your tax forms on the Mobile app.
– You are able to view your tax documents in online banking using a web browser and the steps below.

NHFCU e-branch (not our mobile App)
1. Sign into online banking.
2. Select “e-Notices”, located in the middle of the page on the right-hand side.
3. If needed, select Agree to enroll in e-Notices.
4. All notices including tax documents should appear.
5. Keep in mind, you will only receive a 1099 INT if you have earned $10 or more in interest for 2025.
