Scams at Local NH Banks

Spoofing” of phone numbers is on the rise. We are hearing more about the phone numbers of local banks and credit unions being “spoofed” on caller IDs by scammers pretending to be employees of local financial institutions.

If you receive a call from a number that you think is us, remember this:

New Hampshire Federal Credit Union (NHFCU) will NEVER:

  • Call you and request your social security number, account number or e-branch Logon ID (username) or Security Code (password).
  • Call you and ask you for a “code” or “case number.”
  • Call you and make threats or use scare tactics to collect unpaid debts.

How to protect yourself and your money – NEVER:

  • Share personal account information with someone who initiates a call with you.
  • Call a number provided by a potential scammer.

Verify it’s us. Hang up the phone and call us at (603) 224-7731.
