While New Hampshire slowly begins the process of moving into the "new normal", NHFCU is examining our way forward as well. We are committed to protecting our members and our employees from harm as we all work together to minimize the spread of COVID-19.  Since the pandemic began, NHFCU has continued to seamlessly serve members 100% -- just not with walk-in service.

We cannot begin to thank all of you enough for your willingness to work with us and remain patient as we do our best to keep everyone strong and healthy - both physically and financially.

For the safety of our members and staff, at this time the lobby at 70 Airport Road is closed. Please continue to use our drive-up only service with the following hours:
Airport Road Drive-Up

As far as the rest of our services, you can call us for assistance for loans, opening accounts, and all other assistance as you always have - these regular hours have been maintained throughout this pandemic:

  • Friday - 8:30 am - 6:00 pm
  • Saturday - 9 am - 12 Noon
For Lee, please follow the instructions we have provided at the office for serving you one member at a time. We have adapted how we deliver services to maintain social distancing guidelines while providing you what you need. 
None of this is because we don't want to see you - it's because we want to make sure we will always be able to serve you.

Other changes as of June 1
On June 1, we reinstituted our non-sufficient funds fee for checking accounts if your account is overdrawn. However, the 6-transfer limit will remain LIFTED, meaning, transfers from your share savings account are only limited by your balance, and can protect you from those fees.

April 29:
From the Federal Reserve:  Share transfer limits for overdrafts are temporarily suspended as of April 29, 2020.

Another way to ease your mind - share transfer limits for overdrafts are temporarily suspended as of April 29, 2020. 
According to the Federal Reserve, due to COVID-19, financial institutions may now suspend the federally-regulated automated transfer limits from savings accounts to checking accounts.  Normally, only six transfers per month are allowed because of these regulations.  For now, these electronic/automated transfers are unlimited. However, we urge you to pay close attention as we navigate through COVID-19.  We anticipate that at some point, we will be required to reinstate these transfer limits.  We will notify you as soon as we know.   

4/22/2020  NHFCU is temporarily waiving share draft/checking fees - Expires May 31, 2020

NHFCU is giving back to you – Again! 
NHFCU understands these are challenging financial times for many members and we want to help.  As part of our COVID Relief Efforts, between April 22 and May 31, 2020, if you overdraw your share draft/checking account, NHFCU will waive the $25.00 fee.
Here are the specifics:
  • Fee is waived 4/22/20 – 5/31/20.
  • Fee will still appear on your statement, but with a $0.00 amount.
  • Your check will still be returned as non-sufficient funds. There is a possibility you will be charged a fee by the person the check/payment was meant for.  HOWEVER, the NHFCU fee will be $0.00.
  • NHFCU will not be reimbursing fees charged by other institutions or individuals.
  • Members will still receive a NSF notice and the $25.00 fee will be listed on the notice. HOWEVER, your member account history will reflect the $0.00 fee.

4/1/20 - Keeping you safe curbside -Changes effective March 30
As an essential service during this unprecedented time, we are committed to protecting our community and continue to make adjustments to help us better safeguard everyone - most especially you and our employees. Effective March 30, the following changes to service delivery are in place:

CU CURBSIDE service
We want to be certain you get the services you need in the safest manner possible as we work together to defeat COVID-19. We are implementing technologies and even old-school techniques - like meeting you outside in the lovely spring weather - as we work to further limit person to person contact. So, as weather and circumstances permit, we will come to you curbside for those appointments that might normally take place in our lobbies.

As there is no drive-up available at this location, we will CU Curbside for all transactions and other services. 3/27/20 - Changes Beginning March 30, 2020
As an essential service during this unprecedented time, we are committed to protecting our community and continue to make adjustments to help us better protect everyone - most especially you and our employees.  Effective March 30, the following changes to service delivery will be in place:
CURBSIDE service

We want to be certain you get the services you need in the safest manner possible as we work together to defeat COVID-19.  We are implementing technologies and even old-school techniques - like meeting you outside in the lovely spring weather - as we work to further limit person to person contact.  So, as weather and circumstances permit, we will come to you curbside for those appointments that might normally take place in our lobbies.  Just make your appointment and we'll meet you there!

  • Monday-Thursday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
  • Friday, 8:00AM - 6:00PM

As there is no drive-up available at this location, we are bringing you curbside services.  Please follow the instructions from our employees to assist us in our service to you and in adherence with the social distancing recommendations of the CDC. NHFCU is a financial institution, and under the governor's new stay at home orders, we are considered essential and will remain open.
NHFCU is offering some relief to our members in the following ways as we work through COVID-19, as a community:
1) Preventative/Emergency Loans Available through May 1: Avoid high rate credit cards and payday lenders. Borrow from $500-$1,500 from us at a low fixed rate of just 5% APR and no payments due for 90 days. Contact lending at (603)224-7731, ext. 500.
2) Skip-A-Pay available for consumer and VISA credit card accounts in good standing if you are experiencing issues related to COVID-19. Contact us at (603)224-7731, ext. 128.
3) Free financial wellness webinars online - several topics will be available to you online, including group discussions. Sometimes it helps to ask questions and talk to people who are here to help you. Visit our calendar and click to sign up for a class.

3/13/2020:
We have been monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) and taking steps to proactively minimize the risks to our members and employees.  We are continually reviewing and adjusting our responses, in accordance with the guidance set forth by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). 
Here are some of the things we are doing to help protect everyone we serve:
  • We are following CDC protocols for cleaning public areas regularly, including employee and public workspaces and ATMs.  
  • We have added more hand sanitizer at all locations.
  • We are encouraging employees who feel ill to stay at home.
  • We are encouraging employees to limit their internal person-to-person contact with one another whenever possible.
  • We are limiting organizational participation in public events.
We will continue to take a pro-active stance in protecting everyone we serve as we work to provide you the financial services you need.  Thank you for your patronage and know that we are committed to making sure you receive services in the safest way possible.  While there is uncertainty each day right now, you can be certain that protecting you and your assets is number one our list.
Here are some things you can do to help us protect one another:
  • Take advantage of services online and by phone whenever possible.  This includes things like transaction questions, transfers, loan applications, etc.  
  • Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly with soap or sanitizer before and after monetary transactions - inlcuding ATM access, debit card PIN transactions, etc.  Bring your own pen and sign for those debit card transactions. 
  • Be wary of scams!  Do not reveal your personal information to people who call you asking for the things like account numbers and social security numbers.  Only reveal this information when you have made the call and are certain you are dealing with the proper organization or institution.
