NHFCU 2010 Board Election Results

We welcomed two new members to NHFCU's Board of Directors at our Annual Meeting in March 2010, John V. Amrol and James P. Fredyma.  Mr. Fredyma was also elected to Chair the Board of Directors for the 2010/2011 term. 

John V. Amrol

John Amrol has been a member of New Hampshire Federal Credit Union since the late 1950’s.  He has served as a volunteer on the Delinquent Loan Committee for seven years. 

 
Mr. Amrol retired from State employment in 1997, after forty-four years of service with the Department of Transportation.  He has been a member of the NH State Employees Association (SEA) since 1957.  During his time with SEA, he served on many committees and held various offices, including President from 1990-2000.  Amrol was also involved with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and with the New Hampshire AFL-CIO, serving many terms on their Executive Board as Regional Vice President and Executive Vice President.  Amrol graduated from St. John’s High School in 1953.  He served in the NH Army National Guard from 1953 to 1978, retiring as a Master Sergeant E-8.  John has been married to his wife, Janet, since 1955.  The two have raised five sons and a daughter, and have many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.     

      

Peta L. Chandler

Peta Chandler has served in many positions on New Hampshire Federal Credit Union’s volunteer Board of Directors over the last twenty-four years, including Chairman, Vice Chairman and Treasurer.  Peta also serves on the Personnel and Budget/Finance committees for NHFCU.  Mrs. Chandler retired from the State of NH after twenty-four years of service in 1999.  She served New Hampshire in many capacities, including the position of Deputy State Treasurer, positions in the Education Department and the State Planning Office.

 
Mrs. Chandler has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics/Management from Franklin Pierce University along with three Associate in Science Degrees from NH Technical Institute in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, and Computers.  Peta served as a volunteer on the NH Technical Institute Advisory Board, Chair of the Merrimack County Adult Diversion Program, and on the Merrimack Valley Day Care Board.

 
Peta has completed all of the courses within the Credit Union’s National Association’s Volunteer Achievement Program that includes twelve levels of certification:  Friedrich W. Raiffeisen Award, Edward A. Filene Award, Credit Committee Award, Board of Directors Award, Supervisory Committee Award, Roy F. Bergengren Award, Credit Union Leadership Award, Desjardins Award, Technology Award, Louise Herring Award, Dora Maxwell Award and Credit Union Services Award.  Chandler is a Concord native and U.S. Air Force Veteran. 

 

 

James P. Fredyma

James (Jim) Fredyma has served as a New Hampshire Federal Credit Union volunteer for the last six years on several committees, including the Chairman of the Supervisory Committee and a member of the Delinquent Loan Committee.  Fredyma is employed by New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services for thirty-four years, where he is currently the Controller.  Mr. Fredyma serves as the Commissioner’s designee to the New Hampshire Nuclear Decommissioning Finance Committee.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the New England States Consortium Systems Organization.  Fredyma is a member of the National Association of State Human Services Finance Officers where he once served as its President.

 
Jim has completed twelve courses within Credit Union’s National Association’s Volunteer Achievement and Continuing Education Program, earning the Supervisory Committee Award, Technology Award, Credit Committee Award, and Edward A. Filene Award.
